As a man who is completely crazy about yoga myself, I can’t stop myself from trying to convince friends and relatives of the many benefits of yoga and how it can transform their lives. While I usually get the absolute attention of women when I explain what I do for a living, their male counterparts often demonstrate clear skepticism if not indifference to the idea that yoga could be exactly what they need.
Before coming to India stress had become the norm. I was living a fast-paced life, constantly putting more and more pressure on myself, trying to plan for my future while simultaneously dealing with the complexities of daily life. In such an environment, I even began finding it hard to know what to do next; to make the right decision and stick to it.
When I started on the path of yoga, I became constantly aware of ways to get to the next level. After practising yoga intensively for six months in London, I decided to take the plunge and come to India. Here, I came to perfect my āsana practice and understand more about what yoga is.
