As the weather turns wet and windy and we give in to turning the heating on, it’s time to give ourselves a seasonal boost with some exciting new in-person classes and workshops in the capital, with a focus on looking after ourselves. Because now we’re allowed to go out and do yoga, why wouldn’t we?
1. Wintering – A Season survival workshop

Based in the cool, industrial setting of the Bussey Building in Peckham, this 2.5 hour workshop will energise you with some yang practice, then nourish the system with some grounding yin, and then send you into a deep and immersive yoga nidra.

2. Yoga Foundations Course

As the seasons change, and we get back to in-person events, it can inspire us to make the changes in our own lives that we may have been putting off for a while. The weekend-long Yoga Foundations Course offered by YogaLondon is a condensed exploration of the vast subject that is yoga. Plus it’s a great taster for the 200-hour teacher training course.

3. Sound Immersions – Relaxing Sound Meditation
Where: Indaba Yoga Studios, Marylebone, NW1 6UA

Set in this spacious, airy studio in the heart of London this workshop will induce states of profound relaxation. Using large gongs, quartz crystal bowls, Himalayan singing bowls, voice and other drone instruments, prepare to relax as you’ve never relaxed before.

4. Restorative Yoga & Yoga Nidra Classes

Set at St Margaret’s House in East London, these classes use the combined power of restorative yoga and healing gong sounds to re-harmonize your body and mind. 5. Yoga for Sleep

Sleep – something many of us could do with more of. The Yoga for Sleep weekend with YogaLondon explores different techniques to get better sleep, including Yoga Nidra, asana sequences, and breathing techniques. Whether you suffer from chronic insomnia or are just vaguely curious about what you do for half of your life, you will find this weekend life changing and definitely good for your health.

6. Yinyasa Classes

Set in a well-equipped studio between the leafy suburb of Herne Hill and bustling Brixton, this class is a meditative combination of flowing yang (active) postures and yin (floor-based passive) postures accessing the body’s deep connective tissues and connecting the breath with mindful movement.

7. Yin Yoga Workshop
